About Us

Our neighborhood of approximately 250 homes is distinguished by larger lots, plenty of peace and quiet, abundant wildlife, beautiful oak trees (Red and Live) and friendly neighbors.  We all look out for each other and meet once per year at an annual picnic to discuss items of mutual interest and generally have fun.  There is even a fire truck at the picnic for the kids.

The Denton Development Corporation developed the area, paved the roads, established the original water system, and brought in electricity and gas into the subdivision which led to the neighborhood growing into what it is today.  The southern part of Country Bend was originally part of the Anim (pronounced "Arnim") family property.  The northern part of Country Bend was part of the Daniel Fromme property - which existed on both sides of Boerne Stage Road.  Leslie and Rowena Fenstermaker bought the Fromme homestead in 1955 when it finally passed from Fromme ownership.  They are our neighbors west of Boerne Stage Road.  Mr. and Mrs. Fromme are buried in the little fenced cemetery on the east side of Boerne Glen.
